National Apprenticeship Week 2017
Apprenticeship Familiarisation Weekend | Aylesbury Fire
Station | Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 March | 9am - 5pm
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority will be proudly showcasing our current apprenticeships and providing an insight into those that we plan to offer in the future. These familiarisation days are a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career within the fire and rescue service to come and see if we have a vocation that is right for you.
If you are considering a career in:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Health and Safety
The familiarisation days aim to give individuals an overview of the various apprenticeships on offer and answer any questions you may have. You will be able to meet current in-post apprentices and discuss their experiences within the service.
Budding firefighters can come and observe a drill, talk to the crews, ask questions and ultimately, get hands on with the equipment. There will also be an opportunity to try some of the role related tests yourself. Following the practical element we will hold a Q&A session to answer any questions you may have regarding the apprenticeship scheme as a whole.
