LEARNING & development officer

1 Year Fixed Term Contract | Full time 37 hours | Based in Aylesbury | Salary range £25,193 - £28,017 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen here at Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority (BMKFA) for a Learning & Development Officer. Our Authority vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.

The lead responsibilities of this role are to support the Organisational Development Manager in the production and analysis of the Authority wide training/learning needs. Also identifying the training/learning gaps across the Authority. You will be providing accurate advice and guidance to mentor and coach individual members of staff from all levels.

You will be responsible for providing day to day guidance to the Learning & Development Senior Administrator, both assisting with the specification and delivery of the assessment and development processes which will facilitate both effective selection and development of employees.

We are looking for a team player who can deliver to a high standard, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail with excellent proven administration and organisational skills. Demonstrating good customer service and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential as is a CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Learning & Development or equivalent level of experience.
