Great Holm Fire Station
Haddon, Great Holm, Milton Keynes, MK8 9HP
Drill nights for Great Holm Fire Station's retained firefighters are held on Thursdays, starting at 7pm.
The station, which was officially opened on 1 December 1989, has a complement of two fire engines and a turntable ladder. It covers a wide area from Stony Stratford in the north to Furzton in the south. The station also covers Central Milton Keynes and provides back-up fire engines to Bletchley.
Staff at Great Holm are actively involved in a range of community safety initiatives, including Home Fire Risk Checks. The station also takes part in road safety initiatives.
A “hot” fire training facility has been developed at the station. This not only helps train its own firefighters, but also those from other stations within Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The facility is also used to educate the community on how accidental fires occur and how they can be avoided.
