Stokenchurch Fire Station
Oxford Road, Stokenchurch, Bucks, HP14 3RQ
Drill nights are held on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30pm.
Stokenchurch is an expanding old market town with both new and established industry on the A40, seven miles north-west of High Wycombe.
The area served by the fire station is on the border with Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service, and includes large areas of woodland, farmland and part of the M40.
The station has a history going back to a time of horse-drawn fire engines and currently houses an SFU (Small Fires Unit) crewed by On-Call staff who respond to incidents from their ‘normal’ jobs working in the local community.
The station has a long-standing and proactive involvement in community fire safety, including Home Fire Risk Checks and visits to the fire station by local groups.
