Appeal for witnesses after fatal collision on A413

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Dunton.
At around 1.15 pm yesterday (28 January), a Hyundai Getz was travelling towards Winslow on the A413 Whitchurch Road close to the junction with Dunton Road when it was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old woman from Greens Norton, Northamptonshire, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the van, a woman aged in her forties, was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital with minor injuries and was later discharged.
The road was closed while officers investigated the circumstances of the collision and reopened at 5.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Aylesbury were among the emergency services at the scene.
Investigating officer PC Aaron Fricker, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision who may have information which could assist the investigation.”
