Appeal for witnesses after five vehicles set alight

Police are appealing for information after five vehicles were set alight in Milton Keynes.

The incidents occurred  at Abbotsfield, Osprey Close and Montagu Drive, Eaglestone, between 2am and 2.20am today (Monday 18 May). The fire at Abbotsfield, pictured, spread to a nearby house where the family had to be evacuated.

Firefighters from Bletchley, Broughton and Great Holm were among the emergency services who dealt with the incidents.

Investigating officer PC James Punter, based at Milton Keynes Police Station, said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to please contact police immediately via 101.  If anyone has any CCTV footage from the area please let the police know as this may help in identifying the offenders.”

Police officers have been at the scene today conducting enquiries and providing reassurance to local residents.
