Mon 2 Sep, 2013
Bletchley Fire Station’s open day takes place this coming Saturday, 7 September. The event runs from 11am to 3pm and will be raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The station has lined up a programme of events that will provide vital fire safety and road safety messages as well as entertainment for the whole family.
Firefighters will be staging a number of displays, and there will be a variety of stalls and sideshows. There will also be an opportunity for children and adults to see how quickly they can get dressed in fire kit
The three vehicles based at Bletchley Fire Station - a rescue pump, a combined rescue pump and water tanker and the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service motor caravan - will be on display.
Other attractions include a bouncy castle, funfair rides and refreshments.
The Fire Fighters Charity is a national charity which provides assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue service staff, their families and dependants.
Bletchley Fire Station is in Sherwood Drive, near Bletchley Railway Station. Free parking is available opposite the fire station in Milton Keynes College’s Bletchley Campus car park.
