Health & Safety Strategy

The Fire Authority and senior management are committed to ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all employees and the communities we serve.

This strategy sets out the strategic objectives for the next three years which seek to improve health, safety and well-being in the workplace and build upon our current successful track record.


People Strategy

The People Strategy demonstrates how the Authority captures the commitment and professionalism of all its people to achieve the vision, aim, priorities and objectives as documented in the Public Safety Plan and Corporate Plan.


Property Strategy

The Property Strategy provides a platform for structured forward thinking and decision making regarding property management within the Authority.


Reserves Strategy

Setting out our level of reserves and what we plan to use them for. 

Reserves are held to support the Medium Term Financial Plan and in order to deliver the Authority’s Public Safety Plan. The Authority no longer receives any capital funding from the Government, so capital reserves are essential for future investment on the Authority’s assets.
