BFRS People Awards is one of the ways in which we develop a ‘success mindset’ in the workplace. Celebrating achievement is not about getting from A to B. It’s about mastering a way of working that fosters creativity, fulfilment, and personal investment, enabling our staff to not only make progress continuously, but want to make progress continuously. It helps increase the confidence and motivation of our staff and build trust and stronger relationships within teams. All of which has a positive impact on the service we provide to the public.
How you can support the event
We are inviting local businesses and other organisations to support our People Awards. We have several sponsorship packages to choose from that should suit all budgets.
We would be delighted if you would support the event that recognises the people that work tirelessly to keep our community safe, whether that’s in their homes, at work or on their travels around Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

About the event
This is the first time we have formally run the event since Covid-19 and we are excited to be able to recognise the remarkable work our staff do to serve the people of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes.
This year’s event will be held mid July at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. It begins with a drinks reception followed by the formal presentation of the awards hosted by the Deputy and Chief Fire Officers. Attendees then enjoy a buffet while celebrating the event with their colleagues.
The event is attended by Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service staff & Fire Authority Members.
