Barn fire
Bow Brickhill, Woburn Sands
Two appliances and crews from West Ashland, one from Broughton, one from Newport Pagnell, one from Kempston, along with three officers, attended.
A barn, which measured around 15 metres by five metres, was on fire.
The barn contained a caravan and cylinders.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- One main jet
- A thermal imaging camera
- Temporary lighting
- Hay drags
They established a water shuttle, and the road was closed while they worked at the scene.
The barn was 100 per cent damaged by fire, and partially collapsed. The caravan was also 100 per cent damaged.
The firefighters and Thames Valley Police remained on the scene through the night and into the following morning.
The incident was left in the hands of Thames Valley Police.
