Bedroom fire caused by unattended cigarette

Two appliances and crews attended from West Ashland.

The small fire took place in a detached single-storey garage conversion.

The firefighters used:

• Two sets of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel jet
• A positive pressure ventilation fan

The fire was caused by an unattended, lit, cigarette and caused smoke logging throughout the property.
