Car fire

One appliance and crew from Gerrards Cross attended, along with an officer.

A car was on fire in lane four of the southbound carriageway when they arrived.

No one was trapped. One woman was out of the car, with minor injuries, before they arrived. The firefighters provided her with immediate emergency care.

There was a full road closure in place while the firefighters worked to make the scene safe.

The firefighters used:

• One set of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel jet
• One thermal imaging camera
• Incident emergency care kit

The car was 100 per cent damaged by the fire.

The incident was left in the hands of the Highways Agency.
