One appliance and crew from West Ashland and one from Buckingham attended.
The residential building was evacuated, the gas was isolated on arrival.
The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and a gas monitor to check the property.
There were no readings of gas being present.
They also provided advice to the occupants and carried out a Home Fire Safety Visit.
