One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, one from Slough and one from High Wycombe attended, along with an officer.
A collision involving one van and the central reservation of the motorway had occurred.
Two women and one man were out of the van when they arrived. The firefighters provided immediate emergency care.
They used an environmental pack to absorb leaking vehicle fluids, and one hose reel to wash down the road surface.
The motorway was closed while they worked at the scene.
Thames Valley Police also attended.
The incident was left in the hands of National Highways.
