Field on fire

Coates Lane, High Wycombe

One appliance and crew from Amersham, one from Windsor Tinkers Lane, one from Gerrards Cross, and three from Maidenhead attended, along with an officer.

A 22-acre field of standing crops was on fire.

The firefighters used:

One main jet
Two hose reels
Two four-by-four appliances
Beaters

Around 600 square metres of crops were destroyed.
