Fire in bushes spreading to van in garden and fences

One appliance and crew from West Ashland attended.

A fire involving bushes in a rear garden had spread to affect a van and neighbouring fences.

The firefighters used:

• One set of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel
• A thermal imaging camera
• One electric saw
• Small gear

The van was 100 per cent damaged by smoke and 50 per cent damaged by fire. The installed smoke detectors within one property and provided advice.
