Fire in domestic kitchen extraction unit

One appliance and crew from Broughton and one from Newport Pagnell attended, along with an officer.

A fire had broken out in the cooker hood extraction unit of a ground floor kitchen. It had spread to the ceiling and first floor.

The firefighters used:

• Two sets of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel
• A thermal imaging camera
• A positive pressure ventilation fan

They isolated the gas and electricity supply.
