Six appliances and crews and one officer were in attendance at the height of the fire.

Appliances and crews attended from:

  • Broughton
  • Newport Pagnell
  • West Ashland
  • Buckingham

Smoke was issuing from the three-storey building when they arrived. The incident generated multiple calls to Thames Valley Fire Control Service.

The fire was in a first-floor flat, with smoke logging affecting communal areas.

The firefighters used:

  • Six sets of breathing apparatus
  • Three hose reel jets
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan to help clear the smoke.

The flat is around 10 per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.

South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police are also in attendance.
