Fire in four-storey block of flats
Gomm Road, High Wycombe
Seven appliances and crews at the scene at the height of the fire, along with four officers.
Appliances and crews attended from:
- High Wycombe
- Slough
- Maidenhead
- Gerrards Cross
- Whitley Wood
Smoke was issuing from a four-storey block of flats when they arrived. The flats were evacuated.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- Four hose reels
- One safety jet
- One covering jet
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
- A thermal imaging camera
- Small gear
- Respirators
The fire was in a second-floor flat and spread to affect the roof of the building.
The firefighters isolated the gas and electricity supplies.
Thames Valley Police also attended, establishing and maintaining a scene cordon.
