Fire involving electrical equipment

One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield and one from Maidenhead attended.

A wooden electricity pole and a wheelie bin were on fire, and two live electricity cables were sparking on the pavement.

A large area of the road was suffering from a loss of power.

The firefighters put a scene cordon in place.

The road was closed until electricity engineers were able to isolate the electricity supply and investigate the situation.
