Nine appliances and crews were in attendance at the height of the fire, along with five officers.
The appliances and crews attending were from:
- West Ashland
- Newport Pagnell
A fire within a two-storey commercial and residential unit was generating a large plume of smoke and resulting in multiple calls to Thames Valley Fire Control Service.
The firefighters used:
- Five sets of breathing apparatus
- Two main jets
One man was cared for by South Central Ambulance Service for burns to his hands
The fire spread to affect multiple units. One unit was 100 per cent damaged by fire, a second was 100 per cent damaged by smoke. A third was around 30 per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.
