HGV lorry on fire

M25 clockwise between junction 16 (Denham interchange) and 17 (Maple Cross).

One appliance and crew from Gerrards Cross, one from Beaconsfield, one from Amersham, one from Langley and one from Slough attended, along with an officer.

Firefighters used:

Nine sets of breathing apparatus
Three hose reel jets
Hydraulic equipment
A short extension ladder
An HGV platform
A fog spike – a tool used to punch holes into a structure and deliver water

The cab of the lorry was disconnected and removed from the incident.

Highways England and Thames Valley Police were also in attendance.
