At the height of the fire seven appliances and crews, along with five officers attended.
The appliances and crews were:
- Two from Aylesbury.
- Two from Thame
- One from Watlington
- One from Amersham.
- One Command Support Unit from Slade Park, Oxford.
A two-storey, mid-terrace property was 100 per cent damaged by fire. Two neighbouring properties were effected by smoke and water damage.
The firefighters used:
- Four sets of breathing apparatus.
- Two hose reel jets
- Two main jets
- A short extension ladder
- Small gear
- A thermal imaging camera
Firefighter remained on the scene into the following day, monitoring the scene and damping down hotspots.
The incident was left in the hands of Thames Valley Police.
A 71-year-old man from Aylesbury was arrested by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of arson with the intent to endanger life.
