Kitchen fire in flat

One appliance and crew from Broughton and two from West Ashland attended, along with an officer.

The fire, caused by an overheated pan, was out when they arrived.

Firefighters helped one man from the property, and treated one woman for the effects of breathing in smoke. They used positive pressure ventilation to help clear smoke from the ground floor flat.
