One appliance and crew from Aylesbury, one from High Wycombe and one from Thame attended, along with one officer.
The fire was in the lounge area of a ground floor maisonette, within a two storey-building.
The firefighters provided immediate emergency care to one woman, who was suffering the effects of breathing in smoke and minor burns, before handing her into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
They rescued one dog from the first floor maisonette, and provided it with oxygen therapy .
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- One covering jet
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
The ground floor maisonette was 60 per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke. The first-floor maisonette was 100 per cent damaged by light smoke logging.
Thames Valley Police also in attended.
