Multiple flooding related incidents

Areas including Marsh Gibbon, Lavendon, Tingewick, Hanslope, Leckhampstead,

Firefighters and officers responded to multiple calls to flooding related incidents, including:

  • 1.51pm – Car stuck in flood water

Twyford to Marsh Gibbon Road, Marsh Gibbon.

One appliance and crew from Bicester, one from Brill and one from Aylesbury attended, along with an officer.

Firefighters wearing water rescue kit released a man and a woman from car,  which had became stuck in flood water under a bridge.

 

  • 2.03pm – Flooding affecting house

Olney Road, Lavendon.

One appliance and crew from Broughton attended. Firefighters used a hydro bag to help divert flood water.

 

  • 2.29pm – Flooding affecting multiple houses

Main Street, Tingewick.

One appliance and crew from Brill and one from Bicester attended. Firefighters worked to help divert water away from the houses.

 

  • 2.37pm – Flooding affecting multiple houses

Castle Road, Lavendon.

One appliance and crew from Broughton and one from Aylesbury attended. Firefighters used a light portable pump and wide area flooding kit and provided advice to residents.

 

  • 2.41pm – Flooding effecting electrics

Hartwell Road, Hanslope.

One appliance and crew from West Ashland attended. Firefighters isolated the electrics and provided advice.

 

  • 4.12pm – Car stuck in flood water

Stratford Road, Leckhampstead.

One appliance and crew from West Ashland attended. Firefighters moved the vehicle to safety and, and notified partner organisations that the road was flooded and impassable at that time.
