One appliance and crew from West Ashland and one from Broughton attended.
The fire was out when the arrived.
The firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and a gas monitor. They removed the oven from the building and isolated the gas and electricity supplies. They provided advice and installed a carbon monoxide detector.
Carbon Monoxide is a gas which cannot be seen, smelt or tasted.
