Overheated battery

Two appliances and crews from Thame and one from Aylesbury attended, along with an officer.

A lead acid vehicle battery was showing signs of overheating.

The firefighters used:

• Two sets of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel
• A gas monitor
• A positive pressure ventilation fan

They removed the battery from the vehicle and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke.
