Two appliances and crews from Thame and one from Wheatley attended, along with an officer.
A 4×4 vehicle had been towing a trailer which had been carrying a large generator. The trailer and generator had overturned, and approximately five litres of diesel had spilled onto the carriageway.
The firefighters used winches to set the generator upright and stop the fuel leak. They also used an environmental pack to mop up the spilt fuel, and assisted National Highways to remove the generator from the carriageway.
