One appliance and crew from Broughton and two from Milton Keynes attended, along with an officer.
A mechanical breakdown had affected the drive to a Ferris wheel, resulting in 14 people becoming trapped at height. They were located in four of the wheel’s cars.
A cordon was put in place. The firefighters used a turntable ladder to assess the situation and provide reassurance to the three adults and 11 children who were trapped.
The firefighters supervised a manual recovery method, in line with the manufacturer’s guidance, allowing the first occupants to be released at around 1.30pm.
By 1.40pm all the occupants had been released, uninjured.
