An area of thatched roof, close to the chimney breast of a detached, two-storey house, was well alight on arrival.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • Three hose reel jets
  • One main jet
  • Turntable ladder
  • Four 13.5 metre ladders

  • Working at height equipment

Approximately 65 per cent of the roof was involved in the fire.
