Tumble dryer on fire

Two appliances and crews from West Ashland attended.

A tumble dryer was on fire in the hallway of a semi-detached residential building when they arrived.

One woman and one boy were out of the property, uninjured, before they arrived.

The firefighters used:

• Two sets of breathing apparatus
• One hose reel
• One thermal imaging camera
• A positive pressure ventilation fan
• A short extension ladder
• A thermal imaging camera
• Electrical gloves.

They isolated the gas and electricity supply.
