The fire was out when they arrived. Firefighters isolated the electrical supply, used a thermal imaging camera and provided advice.

    Firefighters responded to a call to bushes on fire, Gold Hill West, Chalfont St Peter. One appliance and crew from Amersham attended. They found it was controlled burning, and no firefighting action was required.

    Oven on fire, Hendon Court, Monkston Park, Milton Keynes. One appliance and crew from Newport Pagnell and one from Bletchley attended. Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel. They used positive pressure ventilation to clear heavy smoke from the ground floor flat, and isolated the electrics before removing the oven and placing it outside. They also rescued one cat, uninured.

    Fire on kitchen hob, Ambleside, Aylesbury. Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury attended. Firefighters were able to beat the fire out on arrival.

    Bus fire, Lower Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes. One appliance and crew from Broughton and one from Great Holm attended. Firefighters used one hose reel, a dry powder extinguisher, a thermal imaging camera and small gear. Two women and one man were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke, and were then passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. The remainder of the passengers were evacuated uninjured.

    Firefighters responded to a call to a house fire, Gibson Lane, Haddenham. One appliance and crew from Aylesbury, one from High Wycombe and one from Thame attended, along with an officer. False alarm, good intent. The cause was food left in a cooker. Firefighters used positive pressure ventilation to help clear the smoke. They provided oxygen therapy to a woman who was suffering the effects of breathing in smoke and carried out a home fire risk check.
