Appeal for witnesses after fatal collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Milton Keynes today.

At around 1.10pm in H9 Groveway at the junction with Simpson Drive, a blue Ford Fiesta was in collision with a grey Citroen C4 and a white Ford Transit van.

An 84-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Ford Fiesta died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a man in his eighties, was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Citroen C4, a woman in her twenties, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Firefighters from Bletchley and Great Holm were among the emergency services at the scene.

A family liaison officer has been appointed and an investigation into the circumstances of how the collision occurred has commenced.
