With the deadline fast approaching, now is the time to let us know what you think of Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service's Public Safety Plan 2020-25.

The document sets out our draft strategy for the provision of fire and rescue services from April 2020 to March 2025.

It identifies the key challenges that we will need to meet if we are to adapt successfully to the changing landscape of risk and demand and meet the expectations of the public and other key stakeholders.

These challenges include our financial outlook, and addressing the risks arising from a growing, ageing and diversifying population and the introduction of new buildings and transport infrastructure across the area we serve.

Chief Fire Officer Jason Thelwell said: “Like many organisations, we could face some difficult decisions because of financial pressures. We want to make sure these decisions are based on sound evidence.”

This is your opportunity to help shape our future development. You can read the Public Safety Plan 2020-25 HERE and respond to the consultation using the online questionnaire.

Hundreds of businesses, councils and other organisations have also been approached for their views.

The consultation period started on 23 September and ends at 10am on Monday 18 November. A summary of all the responses will be fully considered before any decisions are taken.

Our governing body, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority, will be asked to approve the plan in February 2020.
