The 44th UK Fire Services Cross Country Championships, incorporating the Andy Brown Memorial Run and Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s 42nd annual Cross Country Race, takes place on Sunday 6 October 2019.

The event will be held in the historic National Trust-owned Stowe Park, near Buckingham. Entries are invited from individuals and guest clubs as well as fire and rescue services.

Organiser Eddie Gutteridge, Life Vice-President of the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service Sports Association, said: "This year's race is being held in memory of former Humberside firefighter Andy Brown. Andy was a stalwart of fire service sport, and passed away at a young age."

He added: “We look forward to welcoming seasoned veterans and first-timers to what is without doubt one of the most picturesque venues available for an event of this type.

"It is a privilege to organise an event at Stowe, and once again we express our sincere thanks to the National Trust, Stowe School and the tenant farmers."
