Councillor Adrian Busby, Chairman of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority, welcomed two new members and appointed a new lead member for resource management at this month’s annual meeting.

Councillor Lesley Clarke OBE has replaced Councillor John Chilver as one of the 12 representatives from Buckinghamshire County Council. She has also become a member of the Fire Authority’s Overview and Audit Committee.

Councillor Peter Marland, Leader of Milton Keynes Council, has replaced Councillor Alan Webb as one of Milton Keynes Council’s five representatives. He has become a member of the Fire Authority’s Executive Committee.

Following his own three-year term as lead member for resource management, Councillor Busby appointed Councillor Phil Gomm, who represents the Aylesbury East division on Buckinghamshire County Council, as his successor.

Councillor Busby said: “As well as welcoming Councillors Clarke and Marland to the Fire Authority, I would like to take this opportunity to offer my thanks to Councillors Chilver and Webb for their service and wish Councillor Gomm every success in his new lead member role."
