Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority will soon be opening recruitment for firefighter apprenticeships. To give people who are interested in this an understanding of the apprenticeship, we will be holding a familiarisation session at Aylesbury Fire Station.

This familiarisation event will be a great opportunity to give individuals an insight into the role of a firefighter by people currently in the role and will also give them an opportunity to ask questions. There will be a practical session where interested individuals can take part in various exercises and witness the sort of tests that will form part of the recruitment process. Individuals wishing to apply for this apprenticeship intake will need to be 18 or over by 25 March 2018.

At the end of the session, there will be a general question and answer session where any questions you may have regarding the apprenticeship can be answered.

This familiarisation day will take place at Aylesbury Fire Station, Stocklake, Aylesbury, HP20 1BD on Saturday 8 December 2018 with two sessions during the day, these are listed below:

- Session 1 starts at 10am and finishes at 12.30pm

- Session 2 starts at 1.30pm and finishes at 4pm

If you  are unable to make the familiarisation day, but would like to express an interest in applying for one of our Apprenticeship Firefighters roles when the application process opens, please click here and leave us your contact details.

Equality of Opportunity

We welcome applications from people of any race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status or disability. As women and members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented within our operational firefighter group, we would encourage applications from members of these groups.
