Carbon Monoxide leak

Boycott Avenue, Oldbrook, Milton Keynes

One appliance and crew from West Asland attended.

Two women, one man and one boy were out of the building when they arrived.

Firefighters used a gas monitor to identify the presence of carbon monoxide which was leaking from a faulty boiler. They isolated the gas supply and requested the attendance of South Central Ambulance Service and the gas provider.

The gas provider isolated the gas supply to three houses. South Central Ambulance service cared for one woman who was suffering the effects of exposure to carbon monoxide.

If your home or commercial building has a gas supply, it's really important to know how to spot the warning signs of a gas leak. Visit the Carbon Monoxide page of our Safety Advice Hub for some top tips!
