Early Years Resource Box

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service provide Early Years resource boxes free of charge to registered preschools, nurseries and Early Years classes in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

The Early Years resource box contains:

  • a selection of books to share with children about firefighting and the role of Firefighters
  • four Firefighter role-play outfits (size 4-7)
  • a large wooden fire engine
  • a set of teaching notes detailing Firefighting related activities, songs and rhymes
  • a set of laminated colouring sheets for photocopying
  • a set of photographs of the emergency response vehicles used in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes

To ensure demand is fairly managed, Early Years resource boxes are loaned for a two-week period.

Once the loan of a resource box has been confirmed, arrangements are made for you to collect it from your nearest Wholetime fire station (Amersham, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Broughton, Buckingham, Gerrards Cross, High Wycombe, MK West or Newport Pagnell).

To request an Early Years resource box email education@Bucksfire.gov.uk stating your name, the name of your registered preschool, nursery or Early Years setting, and a contact phone number.
