Two appliances and crews from West Ashland attended.
A magpie had become stuck in a tree that was surrounded by deep water.
The firefighters used:
- Hose inflation kit
- Working at height equipment
- Throw lines
- Life jackets
They released the bird, injured, ready to be transported to a veterinary surgery.
