Four crews attended (two from Aylesbury, one from Berkhamsted and one from Hemel Hempstead), along with an officer.
Firefighters were called to, and extinguished, a garage fire, measuring approximately 6 metres by 8 metres. The garage was 100% damaged by fire and one car was 50% damaged. Firefighters evacuated one female from the nearby property. One male suffering from smoke inhalation was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Firefighters remained at the property damping down and turning over.
Firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- Two hose reel jets
- A thermal imaging camera
- Hay drags
A crew from Aylesbury returned to the incident to carry out a planned reinspection. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and found no hotspots.
