Two appliances and crews from West Ashland and one from Broughton attended, along with two officers.
Smoke was issuing from a two-storey house when they arrived, and everyone was out of the house.
The firefighters used:
- Four sets of breathing apparatus
- Two hose reels
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
- A short extension ladder
- A gas monitor
The firefighters isolated the utility supplies to the house.
The fire was located in the ground-floor kitchen.
