About this vacancy

Our workshop in Aylesbury, services, maintains and repairs a wide range of response and support vehicles for the whole of Buckinghamshire & Milton
Keynes.
As the workshop supervisor you will become the link between the Fleet management and the shop floor and will have the following responsibilities:
. General H&S for the workshop environment
. Deputizing for the workshop manager when required
. Assigning work to our team of Vehicle Technicians
. Inspecting Vehicles to above VOSA standards
. Ensuring standards are maintained through Quality Control checks
. Out inspection of serviced/repaired vehicles
. You will be the first point of call for technical queries
. conduct Objective Settings and Appraisals for your team
. Overseeing our our equipment repair area and order any parts that may be required

Required qualifications:
. Fully qualified HGV technician
. LGV driving License
Desireable:
. Experienced in leading a team
. Fire and Rescue equipment repair experience
. IRTEC inspection & Advanced IRTEC qualifications
. H&S/First Aid qualifications
. welding experience
. Live within 30 traveling time of the Headqaurters in Aylesbury

  • Salary: £45,847 to £47,491 (including guaranteed overtime and tool allowance), plus potential to earn additional overtime for out-of-hours on-call availability, based on 7 weeks contractual call-out at £339 per week

This role does not require weekend working (other than the On-Call rota), and does not involve shift work.
