Eleven appliances and four officers attended at the height of the fire. This included three four by four appliances and two water carriers. The appliances were from:
- Slough
- Maidenhead
- Langley
- Bracknell
- Winsor
- Beaconsfield
- High Wycombe
- Camberly (Surrey)
- Princes Risborough
The firefighters were called to a field fire measuring approximately 300 metres by 100 metres. They used six hose reel jets and multiple beaters to extinguish the fire.
The crews remained on scene until the evening, dampening down and turning over, they also reinspected the area at approximately 10pm to check for hot spots.
