Technical and Training Facility Property Manager (15 Month Fixed Term – 18.5 Hours Per Week)

Do you have experience as a Property Manager delivering capital projects within the fire and rescue sector? We are looking for someone who can lead on the planning, construction and commissioning of our new local training facility.

About this vacancy

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the property and facilities project workstreams to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Tendering and procurement of all property related services to meet the needs of the project and Service.
  • Determining performance standards for the property aspects of the venue and setting goals to meet those standards.
  • Managing vendors, suppliers and third parties involved in all aspects of supply of property and facilities management services relating to the project.

You will have:

  • The ability to determine requirements and priorities and to facilitate the achievement of agreed objectives within tight timeframes.
  • Political and organisational awareness, recognising the potential political impact and implications of actions from a strategic perspective.
  • Communication skills to be effective at senior level.
  • The ability to evaluate the quality of work carried out by staff and third parties.

 

Qualifications and experience required

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in property/facilities management and construction.
  • IOSH (or post-holder must be willing to undertake IOSH training upon appointment).
  • Working at management level in the fire and rescue sector or equivalent with evidence of team working, empowerment and performance management.
  • Fixed-Term Contract (15 months)
  • £59,690-£61,332 (pro-rata)
  • Part-Time (0.5 FTE)
  • 5-hour week

You may need to travel around Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes and ad hoc travel outside of the county.
