Two crews from West Ashland attended an incident, involving a leaking HGV milk tanker.
Firefighters used specialist environmental protection equipment, including a grab pack and portable containment, to contain the spill and protect nearby drainage systems.
Approximately 60 litres of milk had leaked onto the road surface.
The Environment Agency and Highways were informed, and the scene was left with arrangements in place for vehicle recovery.
