Two appliances and crews from West Ashland and one from Broughton attended.
A fire was located within the kitchen on the second floor of a residential building.
The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
They also carried out a Home Fire Safety Visit.
