One crew from West Ashland attended a fire involving dry grass on a railway embankment.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews quickly brought the fire under control and carried out damping down to prevent re‑ignition.
Network Rail and Thames Valley Police were also in attendance, with trains slowed in the area due to smoke.
