Two crews from West Ashland attended a fire involving a tree and sheds which was well alight on arrival.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and protect surrounding property.
One large tree was approximately 80 per cent damaged by fire. One shed was completely destroyed, and a second shed was approximately 60 per cent damaged.
Firefighters carried out damping down and turning over, using thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots and prevent any re‑ignition. Crews remained on scene for some time to ensure the area was safe.
One person was assessed by South Central Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.
A further reinspection was scheduled later that evening to confirm the fire was fully extinguished.
